Install on Shopify
Add AskThis to a Shopify store with the official app — product-aware AI prompts included.
On Shopify, the AskThis app installs the widget across your storefront and makes AI prompts aware of product context — price, availability, and variants.
1. Add the app
- Open the Shopify App Store and search for AskThis.
- Add the app to your store and approve the requested permissions.
The app provisions your site automatically during install — there’s no site ID to copy.
2. Enable the storefront widget
The app ships as a theme app embed. In your Shopify admin:
- Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Open App embeds and toggle AskThis on.
- Save.
The widget now renders on product, collection, and article pages, and understands each product’s context for AI prompts.
Commerce-aware prompts
Because the app reads product data, the “Ask AI” buttons on a product page build prompts that already know the item, its price, and availability — no configuration needed.
3. Verify and configure
From the app, click Open AskThis dashboard → to reach your full dashboard, signed in — see Open your dashboard from Shopify. There, click Verify installation, then set which buttons appear in Configure buttons & engines.
