Pricing, metering & invoices

How segment pricing, usage metering, and partner invoices work.

This explains how data usage turns into an invoice — the rate card, metering, and what shows up in the portal’s Billing section.

Rate card

Each segment has a rate. Your account bills against a rate card, which may include per-partner overrides negotiated for your agreement — so the price you see on a segment’s detail page is the price that applies to you, not a generic list price.

Metering

Usage is metered idempotently — pulling the same delivery twice doesn’t double-charge, and each metered event is recorded once. You can reconcile usage against your own systems from the portal.

Invoices

Invoices are generated for partners with GST applied and itemized where it applies. Find them under Billing in the portal, each downloadable for your records.

Check the rate before you pull

A segment’s detail page always shows the rate that applies to your account alongside its size and freshness — check it before scheduling a feed or querying the API. See Access your first segment.
